"Yeah... Hi, Katie."

    <<Woah, you sounded just like Sarah's uncle for a second there.>>

    "Really?  That's cool.  I wouldn't mind sounding like him.  He's a pretty happening guy."

    <<Did you just say 'happening guy'?>>

    "Yeah, so?"

    <<Uh... nevermind.  I guess Brad's pretty happening.>>

    "R-really?" you say, your excitement almost giving you away.  "You really think he's, like, cool and stuff?"

    <<Sorta... I mean, not just anybody walks around pantless most of the time, and he always offers me a ride to school in his van.>>

    "How come you never go with him?"

    <<Well, I like walking, I guess...  Wait, how did you know I never go with him?>>

    "Didn't you just say that?"

    <<Um, no.  Ross, you're so thick sometimes.>>

    "Is Brad thick?"

    <<I wouldn't know that kind of thing about Brad, Ross.>>

    "Maybe you should find out."

    <<Can we stop talking about Brad now?>>

    "Ummmm... OK," you say.

    There's an uncomfortable silence for about a minute.  Then Katie says:

    <<You wanna come over and make out?>>

    "Yeah!"

    <<All right.  C'mon over.  I have to stay here and watch Wes and Cas, but you can come over for a while.>>

    "Cool!" you exclaim.

    <<Um, OK, see you,>> says Katie, and she hangs up.

    Your excitement lasts for several seconds before you realize that you're not actually going to get to make out with Katie.

    Then you get rather depressed.

    "I'll never get a chance at what that Ross just takes for granted... it's hopeless."

    After a bit more thought, though, you are consoled somewhat by the solid fact that no matter the circumstances, Katie Takayanagi actually said to you the following words: "You wanna come over and make out?"

    For a brief moment you toy with the idea of attempting some sort of Ross disguise, and showing up at Katie's place.   But in the end, you decide to take up the pursuit of Kaitlin on another day.

    Like, tomorrow, maybe.

    In the meantime, you head over to Merv's place.  Merv and Buddy are there having a "cultural experience", watching porn tapes from six different countries, and eating french fries from Fries & Fro's.

    You join them, and a good time is had by all.
