You reach down into the mostly sunken boat and find the anchor rope.  You pull the anchor out of the water and start to swing it lasso-style around you.

    Champ again charges at you mouth-first.

    Knee-deep in water, swinging around the tethered anchor, you release the rope at just the worng moment, sending the anchor flying off in completely the wrong direction.

    Champ's jaws come chomping together where Poppy's motor boat has just sunk.

    But you are not there to be eaten.

    Having grasped the rope as it flew off in the wrong direction, it pulled you to safety, landing you fifteen feet away from the boat.

    Unfortunately Champ sees what happened and eats you as you pitifully attempt to swim to safety.
